The first ever event to combine both land and water to raise money for The Grace Dear Trust. This event couldn’t have been made possible without the help of the local rowing and canoeing clubs in Elmbridge who took to the water to make sure everyone had a lovely morning.
This successful event raised £5,500 for The Grace Dear Trust with many young people taking to the water or the tow path to Run, Paddle, Row.
The message was clear from these clubs that it wasn’t about the race it was about coming together to bring awareness around mental health and to support one another. This is why for World Mental Health Day on the 10th October 2021 everyone wore Grace’s favourite colour purple to light up the river.
We are so grateful for the money raised and how much effort everyone put in to make sure the event could happen, despite a few technical difficulties out of our control!
We can’t wait for next Run, Paddle, Row event in 2022!
