Hinchley Wood Secondary School Open Evening 🏫 Hinchley Wood Secondary School Open Evening 🏫

It was so great to be a part of the potential year 6 students who may attend Hinchley Wood School next year.

Graham and Hope spoke to lots of parents making them aware of The Grace Dear Trust and what we are doing in the local Community! 💜

Despite the weather, it was a great turn out and we are looking forward to our continued partnership with Hinchley Wood.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day 🌍 A day Today is World Suicide Prevention Day 🌍

A day where we remember Grace along with many others who sadly see no other option than to end their own life 💜

Here our some important points we would like to get across today:

- Suicide is not selfish, it is not weak, it’s the only way for people to find peace. Grace didn’t want to die but she felt like she had exhausted all other options.

- Every 40 seconds someone in the world takes their own life

- 1 in 4 adults and 1 in 6 young people experience mental ill-health

- Finally check in on those around you, kindness goes a long way.

Even though we are encouraged to talk openly about how we are feeling and there is more support available, suicide is still happening all across the world which is why we won’t stop support young people until we finally have 0 suicides!

Remember if you need support please don’t bottle your emotions up.

Today Hope delivered a mental health awareness tal Today Hope delivered a mental health awareness talk for year 9 students of Park Academy, West London 🏫

The more we have open conversations around mental ill-health the more people will feel able to start talking and get support.

After the talk, one student reached out having never before feeling they couldn’t open up to anyone for the fear of being judged.

Our motto is simple:
“ We couldn’t save our Grace, but if we can help save the life of someone else, we have done what we have set out to do”

Today Hope did just that.

Thank you all for your continued support, it means we are empowering young people to start talking 💪

The Grace Dear Arts Project 🎭 Is a place wher The Grace Dear Arts Project 🎭

Is a place where young people can come and feel connected and be a part of the community

The message for us is clear….. we need to breakdown the stigma attached to mental illness and we can do this by educating the children of today to talk openly about how they’re feeling 💜
